Sombrio Western redcedar RC3

from $120.00

This block was salvaged from the stump of an old growth tree that was cut down 25 years ago. While this was not recovered from a wildfire, it is an incredible example of the size and diversity of tree species that grow on the west coast. Cedars can develop “fluting” around the base of the tree, which adds a lot of character to the print. The tree reached an age of over 550 years and is nearly 40 inches across. It is suitable for large, custom paper or a diptych on 22x30 sheets.
